Important information - 7 novembre 2007.

"With Bruno, Boris, and all the team of Objective-Cocoa, I had much pleasure to imagine, and to help to give birth to Flying Fenêtres 1. Version 1.1 is working well under Leopard, and its development is now finished.Today, my personal projects are pushing me to leave the project completely. I would like simply to say a big THANK YOU to all those which supported me and which helped Fenêtres Volantes to exist."
Vincent Zorzi

- Today, Bruno Roudot continues to make research for a possible future version 2. If you wish to contact him, it's here.
- The source code of version 1.1 will be available very soon at : www.koders.com.
- Lastly, THANK YOU for the generous givers : their gifts were versed to Objective-Cocoa, support for this project, to help them to pay web hosting.

What is it ?

You are making no use of your windows ? Fenêtre volantes puts them in flight ! After some idle time that can be set in the System Preferences, the windows take off the screen and flutter in the void. On a mouse move, the windows immediately come back and stuck to their original position.

How does it work ?

It works like any MacOS X screensaver.
Basically, you have nothing to do.

Is it customizable ?

Yes, you can tune the speed, or the number of windows to take in account, as well as multiscreen behaviour. You can play with the settings in the "Screensaver" panel of the System Preferences.

Does it work on multiple screens ?

Most of the time : yes. But some configurations may prevent Fenêtres Volantes to function properly (you just get a black screen), when you select the display mode “on all joined screens”. However, you can safely try to use the other modes.

Is there any risk using Fenêtres Volantes ?

Please know that this software is provided "as-is", without any express or implied warranty. In no event shall the author be held liable for any damages arising from the use of this software. However, this screensaver is a rather standard one, so that you are not really taking risks anyway.

What if the screen saver does not quit ?

If you can't take the control back over the screen saver, you can try to use the same method as you would do for any other application. Just hit Alt-Command-Escape (⌥+⌘+esc) to make the MacOS X "force quit" menu appear.

Finally, how can I download the current version ?

You can go to the Download page.

What about the price ?

Fenêtres Volantes is a freeware.
